Listening to music, the Bastanis Corniche speakers make you feel like you’re driving the Grand Corniche road. They deliver impressively beautiful sound and leave you speechless with their ability to reproduce the most spectacular sounds with ease. They offer superior dynamics and precise midrange. The sound is dynamic, unrestricted, and fatigue-free, even during extended listening sessions.
The Bastanis Corniche speakers are designed to be placed close to the front wall in small-to-medium or medium-to-large listening rooms. They can be powered by any high-quality amplifier starting at 8 watts.
The Corniche speakers also come in a dipole configuration. The Corniche dipole speakers are made to be placed with some distance to the front wall in medium-to-large sized listening- rooms.
The Corniche speakers feature floor-firing bass horn cabinets that adjust to different placements, providing fundamental and dynamic sound. The 15” wideband drivers are crossover-less, ensuring no components degrade the signal quality or efficiency. These drivers undergo unique in-house treatments to deliver superior sound without resonances.
The dipole horn tweeters also receive special treatments, ensuring a rich, full, and highly detailed sound. They are crossed over with a single capacitor. Every component of the Corniche speakers, from the caps, adjustable decoupling feet, resonance-free input terminals, binding posts, and internal wiring, reflects meticulous research and craftsmanship.
This attention to detail is matched by their elegant design, created by Jeroen Kool handmade furniture and design. The cabinets are handcrafted by a master woodworker.

After spending hundreds of hours with the Bastanis Mandala, I can honestly say that they do many things better than any speakers I have ever heard. Foremost among these qualities is that they are highly expressive and produce a very involving nuanced sound. They project a large soundstage with great depth and bloom at even moderate levels. When called upon, they will startle you with dynamic impact. They will do justice to all kinds of music as one would expect from a truly full-range speaker - and do all of it with a mere 10 watts of pure triode power per channel admittedly (not counting the separate woofer amps!). It all adds up to another award.
